The herb has a reputation as an aprodisiac. Yohimbe is a tropical tree found in West Africa. It contains a potent alkaloid called yohimbine which which has a reputatuion as an aphrodisiac which acts and stimulates the nervous system. Yohimbe bark has an appropriate function in this formula. The amount of youhimbine provided is less than that found in American prescription medicines. There is some concerened that yohimbines has the potential for unwanted side effects but these are highly unlikely when the herb is used at the normal recommended amounts.
